The original university logo was designed by Rev. Williams Denver in the year 1969. The current professionally designed logo of the university was designed by the team of designers in the Art school and the university logo committee. Moving to strengthen the university's local and international image, SAU has adopted a bold, new logo that uses university colors Power blue, Banana yellow and dull green to visually highlight the university's identity and name.
The new logo has been approved by the Chancellor with effect from January 2014, following several months of previews and consultation with many campus constituency groups. Those included the Academic Council, Associated Students and the university's Community Advisory Board.
This new university logo should help strengthen the university's identity both in the world of education and also the corporate world. It will help us carry our message that SAU is the foremost provider of quality and affordable distanceeducation.”
The new logo becomes the university's standard identifier in all visual communications, including print, broadcast and on the web. The new logo replaces the symbolic graphic image that the university has used as its mark in past years. |
